Do you want to reduce your dependency on glasses or contact lenses? Refractive laser surgery may be an option for you!
To determine if you are a good candidate for laser surgery it is best to have a full comprehensive eye examination with us first.
The doctors at Wheildon MacKenzie Optometry are all trained to co-manage the pre-surgery and post-surgery care. Unfortunately, not everyone is a good candidate and the doctors will be able to explain why.
The surgery centre will request that you see us before your surgery to have drops put in your eyes to determine the true refractive prescription of your eyes, as well as make sure that the health of your eyes meets requirements in order to perform laser surgery.
Depending on the form of laser surgery that you have, there are multiple follow-up visits that you will have with us over your first 12 months after the surgery.
We typically partner with TLC Waterloo to perform the laser surgery procedures.
The TLC Lifetime Commitment® program covers qualified patients* who have had laser vision correction at a TLC Laser Eye Centre by a participating surgeon. In order to maintain eligibility, patients should keep the following in mind:
Complete post-operative appointments after treatment.
Complete annual eye exams with your TLC-affiliated eye doctor.

Certain changes in your visual system may affect your ability to have an enhancement.
